Bits of Jazz is an improvised piano performance by António Baía Reis, presented in 2015 at the Grand Auditorium of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto.

Conceived as a sequence of spontaneous jazz “fragments,” the concert unfolded as a live composition in real time, short pieces emerging, mutating, collapsing, and returning with new harmonic identities. Rather than a fixed setlist, Bits of Jazz operated as a modular performance: rhythm as a pulse of decision-making, melody as a line of inquiry, and silence as structural material. The result was an afternoon of jazz as process, restless, intimate, and deliberately unrepeatable.
